About us - Attitude FoodsAttitude Foods was founded by a lady called Rosie who is based on Waiheke Island – she was casting around for a way to make money while living on Waiheke, and decided to make Organic Dukkah for the local Saturday Waiheke market. She sold out of product at her first stall and continued to introduce product from there.
The company was later purchased by Yvette Gillanders who now runs a small but bustling commercial kitchen on an organic lifestyle block at beautiful Whangaroa Harbour in Northland New Zealand.
Yvette has a background in sales and marketing, has always loved cooking, and has a keen interested in healthy living, organics, and looking after planet earth. Yvette is passionate about food and has always strived to buy the best ingredients and quality produce available and to produce food that is brimming with flavour and at the same time making it healthy for the consumer.
Since purchasing Attitude Foods, Yvette has been busy growing the business and client base and is continuing to increase shop outlets throughout NZ.
Yvette plans to add to Attitude Foods product range over the years to come, and to make “Attitude Foods” a ‘quality’ household name, as she is passionate about making great food while keeping people healthy and looking after planet earth.
Yvette say’s ‘How we experience life has a lot to do with our “Attitude” – she says we could all take a lesson in life from Charles Swindell.
"The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.
Attitude to me is more important than facts...It is more important than appearance, gift, or skill... The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past...we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10 percent what happens to me and 90 percent how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our attitudes."
